  • Dr. Wallace Wolf Jr., DVM (Owner)

Recently retired after over forty years of veterinary practice, Dr. Wallace Wolf received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. After serving in the United States Army from August, 1966 to August, 1968, he came to The Dalles Veterinary Hospital in October, 1968. Throughout those years, he provided veterinary care for the large and small animals of many, many families of The Dalles area, and volunteered his time to multiple civic organizations and activities. His son, John, and his daughter, Mindy, grew up in The Dalles, and they are raising their children in the area as well, allowing Dr. Wolf and his wife, Vicki, to spend time with their grandchildren, Gillian, Emma, Mia, and Mead. Dr. Wolf continues to take care of his own pets - a border collie named Katy, Timmy, an old yellow cat, and their four horses. He enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, boating, horseback riding, and travelling. He is also interested in photography, real estate investment and development, and professional education, having been actively involved for many years in the organization of the Western States Veterinary Conference. When we see Dr. Wolf, he often says that since he retired, he's busy enough that it feels like there's less time in the day! He will continue to very occasionally practice at The Dalles Veterinary Hospital.
